Water Lines

Earrings made of Larimar cabochons from Hispaniola, cut in graphic trapezoid shapes and set in 750/000 white gold. By means of an invisible exchange mechanism the top pieces can be worn on their own and combined with other elements. Custom-made, length as shown here is 5.5 cm (2.2 in).

Movements leave traces in water. They teach us about transience, because before long the surface is calm and smooth again - peace returns. The earrings "Water Lines" are inspired by the fine white lines that boats follow. They want to cheerfully flow around the face of the wearer, giving a soft frame.
